More than 7230 citizens have joined the Armenian National Congress's demontrate against the gas price inflation presented today to the Administrative Court.
Representatives of the Armenian National Congress have presented the copies of the appeals to "ArmRusGazard", "TransGaz", the Public Services Regulatory Commission and the Ministry of Finance.
Employees of the general division of those institutions were first surprised to see so many demontrations and had doubts over how they would accept them. But then they relaxed after finding out that it was only one appeal by 7,230 citizens.
The signatures were gathered in the course of two weeks. ANC representative Tigran Arakelyan noted that the citizens continue joining the petition.
Despite his lack of hope in justice in Armenia, advocate Vahe Hovsepyan doesn't think it's right to keep quiet either. He mentioned a similar case in Ukraine, but the gas price did not go up. According to him, the gas price inflation will have an impact on the prices for other products as good.
The Administrative Court will inform all 7,230 citizens whether the demontrate has been accepted or not in a week.
Starting from April 1, citizens will pay 132,000 AMD for 1,000 cubic meters of gas instead of the previous 96,000 AMD, while large consumers will pay 243.13 dollars compared to the previous 215 dollars.
